We all like to make our lives easier. When it comes to business it is best to be as efficient as possible. In the case of websites I have learned a hard lesson. Having your domain name and web hosting at the same company can save you a lot of headache. Allow me to explain why.
We Only Need it When it Does Not Work
Many times we do not realize how badly we need something until it is too late. When it comes to fixing a broken website that is down and no one can reach, you need it done fast. This is how I learned how to best setup a website for the future. What I learned was having web hosting at one company and a domain name at another could be a problem when the site needed work. Essentially they will, or I should say may, point fingers at each other.
When it is time to figure out the problem it seems to be human nature to immediately blame someone else. You may be like me, meaning I have no idea how to figure out if the issue is with the domain registrar or the hosting company. I have had them blame each other leaving me to try and figure it out. It is no fun when your website is not working and you are left on multiple help desk calls attempting to figure out the issue.
Combine for Simplicity
Therefore my advice is that you register your domain and have the same company deal with your hosting business.

Hosting with Go Daddy
Many have no idea how important a good hosting services can be. Many also do not know how hosting used to be and what makes a good host. We suggest godaddy hosting for the best possible and reasonably priced hosting available.
Go Daddy 4GH
They call this their 4th generation hosting platform. First of all you have unlimited data transfer. Second of all they spread your site among many servers which provides multiple advantages. First you can now have spikes in traffic that can be dispersed among multiple servers. Also you can have one server go down and still have a live web site. The ability to have traffic spikes and keep your server up is critical.
Take a look at their hosting options and you may be able to start using one of the better services available.
